Chocolate Protein Waffles

Everyone loves waffles, but what about all those calories ?

Waffles are not always considered to be a healthy food choice, however there is always a better and healthier alternative to all the foods.

This recipe works great if you are on lower carb diet, 6 of these waffles are under 30grams of carbohydrates !

Oat Flour/Gluten Free

These waffles only require one flour—oat flour—which is the easiest flour to make at home. All you need to do is to toss some quick- oats in your blender or food processor and blend on high speed until they are a fine flour.

For Gluten Free option - use Gluten Free Oats.

Protein

I prefer using Vegan protein powder, for the consistency and it's thickness. Vegan protein is much denser and helps with thickening the batter. It also adds amazing texture and taste. Regular Whey Protein won't bring the same texture.

The protein I use is Total Vegan by Cutler Nutrition (Discount Code : bibinky). I have tried many different Vegan proteins, but this brand has the best taste and texture !

Consistency

The Secret to perfect texture is to let the batter sit for 10-15 minutes, this will allow the oat flour to absorb the moisture and it will make your waffles more fluffy.
